About this job
Overview
We’re seeking an experienced, licensed Medical Assistant (MA) to join a busy, patient-centered medical practice. This role is critical to supporting both providers and patients through high-quality clinical care, strong communication, and efficient use of technology.
The ideal candidate is smart, compassionate, and highly capable — someone with a strong team mindset, high IQ and EQ, and a genuine commitment to patient care. You should be tech-savvy, a quick learner, and comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining attention to detail and empathy. This position is onsite and starting ASAP.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on clinical duties including EKGs, blood draws, vital signs, and other practical MA responsibilities.
- Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during visits and procedures.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the EHR.
- Deliver a high-quality patient experience through professionalism, empathy, and clear communication.
- Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supplies in compliance with clinical standards.
- Use electronic health record systems efficiently (Athena experience strongly preferred).
- Quickly learn and adapt to new workflows, tools, and technologies.
- Support providers by anticipating needs and helping keep clinic flow smooth and efficient.
- Communicate effectively with clinical and administrative team members to ensure continuity of care.
- Demonstrate a strong team-first mentality — willing to step in and help where needed.
- Bring emotional intelligence and professionalism to patient and team interactions.
- Contribute positively to a collaborative, respectful, and patient-focused work environment.
Qualifications
- Certified or Licensed Medical Assistant (required).
- Previous MA experience required — this is not an entry-level position.
- Proven ability to perform EKGs, blood draws, and other clinical MA duties independently.
- Athena EHR experience preferred.
- High level of intellectual curiosity, emotional intelligence, and professionalism.
- Strong communication skills with patients, providers, and staff.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Comfortable with technology and eager to learn new systems quickly.
Why Join Us
- Immediate start in a well-established, busy practice.
- Competitive hourly pay based on experience.
- Opportunity to work closely with providers and make a meaningful impact on patient care.
- Supportive, team-oriented environment that values intelligence, empathy, and initiative.
Schedule & Compensation
- Days & Hours:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 8:30am – 5:30pm
Every other Thursday: 9:00am – 1:00pm
- Pay: $20–$25/hour, based on experience
