We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Production Support Coordinator to join our team. This critical office-based role provides administrative and operational support to the Plant Scheduler and other office personnel. You’ll play a key part in ensuring smooth production activities, maintaining accurate documentation, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.
Schedule & Pay:
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7:00am-4:00pm
- Pay: $26.00/hr
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Plant Scheduler to develop and optimize production schedules using sales forecasts, customer service insights, plant performance metrics, and workforce availability.
- Monitor and report scrap material data to support inventory accuracy and cost-control initiatives.
- Maintain preventive maintenance documentation and service records for all plant machinery and equipment in coordination with the Plant Engineer.
- Enforce document control protocols to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Support plant programs that drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Facilitate collaboration with Sales, Customer Service, and Plant Management to align scheduling and inventory requirements.
- Track workforce capacity and labor hours for production planning insights.
- Build advanced Excel reports (pivot tables, formulas, charts).
- Assist with procurement and inventory management tasks.
- Identify and resolve data discrepancies related to inventory and schedules.
- Communicate effectively across departments to align production plans.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel skills strongly preferred.
- Technical aptitude and ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Knowledge of production planning, inventory control, and purchasing processes (preferred).
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems (preferred).

Key Relationships:
- Frequent interaction with Plant Scheduler, Plant Engineer, Sales, Customer Service, and Plant Management.
- Occasional collaboration with Purchasing and Inventory Control teams.
Working Conditions:
- Office-based with long periods of sitting.
- Occasional exposure to loud sounds and distracting noise levels.
- Minimal exposure to hazards such as chemicals, moving machinery, repetitive motion, excessive noise, and powered industrial vehicles.
- Required use of protective equipment (eyewear, gloves, hearing protection, respiratory protection, safety shoes, hard hat, etc.) when visiting the plant floor.
- Work may involve changing priorities, deadlines, quotas, and conflicting demands.
