Special Education Teaching Assistant - 2025-2026 - Full-time

Summary: 
Primary responsibility is to provide instructional assistance to intermediate school students.  As directed by the principal and classroom teacher, the teaching assistant will also: work with individual or small groups of students in an instructional capacity, supervise students during other activities such as lunch, and assist in completing necessary paperwork.  

Qualifications:
Applicants must meet the requirements for a Title I paraprofessional, including:

Must have a high school diploma or its recognized equivalent and

Must have met one of the following options:

• Completed two years of study at an institution of higher education (48 credit hours); or
• Obtained an associate's (or higher) degree; or
• Have passed the Parapro Assessment through ETS.
• Proof of highly qualified certification must be attached to your application to be considered for this position.

 Salary:   

2025-2026 Range for salary is $17.00 to $26.18 per hour plus full benefits package. 
  
Workday: 
Full time/10 month (183 days) position, 7.0 hours per day, Monday through Friday
