Responsibilities:
Position Overview:
The Buyer's Assistant provides support and administration to the Purchasing Department.
Ideal Candidate:
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring Sponsorship
- Must be available to work on-site daily in Hobart, Indiana
- A collaborative team playerwho thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and reporting
Pay Rate: $24.00-$26.00/hour
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Works within the purchasing department in support of various administrative tasks
- Assists the buyer in placing purchase orders, including evaluating requisitions/requirements
- Follows up to confirm order and deliveries
- Responds to emergency requests
- Resolves discrepancies and works with vendors to return incorrect or defective material
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate’s degree preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:
- Knowledge of standard office administrative practices and procedures
- Strong administrative and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Ability to handle repetitive tasks
- Computer skills including Microsoft Offic
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented
- Team-oriented and collaborative
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
