Temporary Part Time Regional Bilingual Administrative Assistant

This position will provide back- up support to the three Immigration Legal Services Front administrative staff when they are out of the office. This position will also offer administrative clerical support to the regional (Aurora, DuPage, Chicago) Immigration Legal Services Department. This position must be filled by someone who is completely bilingual in English and Spanish both spoken and written.  Schedule This is a temporary and part-time, 24 hour per week position until September 30th, 2026. The days for this position are Monday, Thursday and Fridays from 8:30am-5pm.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Staff the front desk at any of the three World Relief offices (Aurora, DuPage/Carol Stream, Chicago)

Facilitate in-person and telephone intake of new and existing clients

Scan physical files and upload them to the LawLogix database

Document Translation in English/Spanish

Take payments and fill out invoices in the Immigration database

Assist with mail follow up as needed

Assist with LawLogix data clean up

Ability to handle a large call volume

Excellent problem-solving skills and flexibility to work in a frequently changing environment

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills 

Strong self-starter skills and a desire to learn and grow

Spanish/English fluency required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bilingual English/Spanish - fluency in spoken and written Spanish including the ability to translate documents from Spanish to English and English to Spanish 

Strong inter-personal and cross-cultural communication skills exercised through previous cross-cultural experience

Adaptability in the midst of constant change

Committed to welcome the immigrant community, the general public, and other staff 

Highly organized and a willingness to multitask

Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel 

Associates degree preferred
