Engineering Summer Internship - 2026

Russell Standard is hiring a Process Engineer Intern at our Reading, PA and Akron, OH location for the Summer 2026.

Process Engineering is a critical function in our asphalt materials production. Our process engineers help in designing, implementing, controlling and optimizing industrial processes and machinery in the manufacturing locations.

What You’ll Do

As a Process Engineer Intern, you will:

• Create plant Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
• Build a system for SOP creation and cataloging

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, industrial).
• Conscientious self-starter with good organizational skills, project management skills and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal communication and ability to collaborate with teams; must effectively operate independently, across functional lines, and with internal customers.
• Demonstrated personal initiative, self-motivation, flexibility, adaptability, and willingness to learn.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
