Member Service Representative

We are hiring primarily for:

• Early Morning coverage: 1-2 opening shifts per week on average. Typical shift is 4:45-9am. Primarily looking for a Friday morning opener plus filling in other mornings as needed.
• Weekend coverage: 2 weekend shifts per month on average. A typical shift is 7-11am or 11am-3pm on a Saturday or Sunday during the summer and 7am-12:30pm or 12:30-6pm on a Saturday or Sunday in the winter.

Potential to fill-in during the week at other times: daytime (9am-3pm), afternoons (3-5pm) and evenings (5-9pm) if available!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet members, prospective members and guests, providing exceptional customer service.
• Handle all front desk related activities, such as monitoring member and guest check-ins, new member registration and point-of-sale transactions.
• Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner and elevate to Fitness or Aquatic Supervisors as needed.
• Assist members with use of fitness and pool equipment.
• Assist in maintaining the neatness and cleanliness of the facility.

Physical Demands

• Continual standing and walking during shift.
• Continual talking in person or on the phone during shift.
• Potential for light housekeeping or cleaning duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Must be 18 year of age or older. 
• High School diploma required.
• Customer service background preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Basic knowledge of fitness and aquatics equipment.
• A passion for fitness and health.
• Punctuality and reliability is required.
• Exceptional customer service skills; able to interact in a positive and professional way with members and co-workers, exceeding the members expectations.
• Strong listener with the ability to empathize and problem solve.
• Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language.
