Position: Prep Cook

Location: In-Person, Port Hueneme, California

Schedule: Full Time, 8-hour shifts, must be able to work weekends

Passages Ventura is looking for a motivated Prep Cook to join our team! The Prep Cook will assist with preparing and cooking breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as maintaining kitchen sanitation and ensuring meals meet our clients' dietary needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and cooking of Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.
• Ensure all food supplies are properly stored and labeled.
• Ensure all condiments are stocked and available for consumption.
• Assist with the preparation of meal ingredients, including washing, cleaning, peeling, and cutting.
• Help maintain health and safety standards in the kitchen.
• Follow dietary guidelines and meal plans for clients.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; culinary education or certification preferred.
• Driver’s License: Current, valid California Driver License with a good driving record.

Additional Qualifications:

• Proficiency in English; bilingual (English-Spanish) is a plus.
• Willingness to travel locally to other company locations when necessary.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screenings, including a tuberculosis screening, background check, drug screening, and reference checks. Ongoing monitoring and screenings are required throughout employment.
• Must be available to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet our 24/7/365 healthcare facility needs.
