Primary Objective of Banquet Server Position
To provide food and beverage service to banquet customers in an efficient and courteous manner
Responsibilities
- Ensures proper set-up of all tables for assigned station, in accordance with company standards
- Inspects linen, silver, china, and other table items
- Serves food, coffee, water, and other beverages to customers, refills beverages as needed
- Receives customer requests for any food or beverage that varies from the set menu
- Refers complaints on food or service to the Banquet Manager
- Cooperates closely with the other servers to ensure that prompt service is given at all times
- Clears unnecessary and/or soiled dishes, silverware, glassware and linen as needed,
- Cleans banquet room and banquet kitchen area during and after banquet functions
- Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance
Other duties may be assigned as needed
Physical Demands & Work Environment
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. The employee must also be able to go up and down a flight of stairs while carrying 100 pounds. The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, and the noise level is usually moderate to loud
