Key Objective

As a Folder/Bindery Operator, you will play an essential role in the finishing and final production of high-quality printed materials. You will operate and maintain bindery equipment to ensure products meet required specifications for accuracy, appearance, and durability.

Responsibilities

• Operate bindery equipment such as folders, cutters, stitchers, slitters, rewinders, sheeters, and other finishing machinery.
• Review job orders and specifications to determine proper setup and finishing requirements.
• Set up equipment, adjust machine settings, and perform test runs to ensure accurate operation.
• Inspect output for quality, accuracy, alignment, and consistency throughout production.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machine or product issues to minimize downtime and waste.
• Perform routine maintenance including cleaning, lubricating, blade changes, and minor repairs.
• Handle materials efficiently, including loading/unloading product and organizing finished goods.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, following all company safety standards and procedures.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and press teams to ensure smooth workflow.

Requirements

• Experience operating bindery or finishing equipment in a printing or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and ability to follow written instructions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and safety.
• Ability to stand, lift, bend, and move materials as required throughout the shift.
• Team-oriented with strong communication and collaboration skills.
