Description
If you have experience working with groups of school-aged children ages 6-12 and have a passion for teaching and experience playing and teaching guitar lessons, Associated Recreation Council (ARC) has an amazing role for you as a Guitar Instructor. This is a part-time role at Garfield community Center.
Location: Garfield Community Center - Seattle
Guitar Instructor Responsibilities:

Conduct engaging beginner and intermediate guitar classes for youth.

Teach foundational skills such as proper posture, tuning, basic chords, strumming patterns, and reading tabs/music.

Develop lesson plans that align with the community center’s program goals and class structure.

Create a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment for students of all backgrounds and skill levels.

Demonstrate techniques clearly and provide individual feedback during class.

Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods as needed.

Maintain a safe and organized classroom setup, including care of any center-owned instruments or equipment.

Encourage creativity, confidence, and enjoyment of music through hands-on learning and practice.

Must be 21 years of age or older

Full Pay Range: $26.50-36.50/hr (Over time, the employee in this role may earn up to $36.50/hr with additional years of service)
