ACT Prep Tutor (Baton Rouge, LA) - Part-time

Schedule

• Must have daytime availability during school hours
• Part-time flexible schedule
• Ability to work with multiple schools within the assigned area for additional hours
• Onsite position working with students in small groups

Compensation

$20 - $25 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Provide competent and effective educational support for assigned students and subject matter

• Must be confident and capable of communicating and teaching assigned subject-matter on the spot to students in both the 1:1 and class formats

• Prepare for each instructional session; gather and prepare materials as appropriate including review and understanding of individual student requirements

• Develop relationships and take a vested interest in each student such that the student feels comfortable and the tutor is informed on the learning needs and progress of each student

• Comply with all Studyville objectives, guidelines and procedures regarding student interactions, dress code, and communication expectations

• Maintain daily student records including evaluation and tracking of progress

• Be positive, enthusiastic, and encouraging through all student and family interaction

Qualifications:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required

• Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to relate with students

• Tutoring/teaching experience preferred

• Ability to tutor/instruct ACT (all subjects: English, Math, English, and Reading) required

• Must have a reliable form of transportation to commute throughout the assigned area required
