About the role 

The Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing and optimizing all inventory-related operations within a company. This role ensures that the organization always has access to the products it needs while considering cost controls, waste reduction, and supply chain efficiency.


Responsibilities: 

  • Maintain and update inventory records using inventory management software.
  • Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages and excesses.
  • Perform regular physical inventory audits and reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Order, receive, and document new stock, ensuring its adequate storage.
  • Coordinate with sales and production departments to forecast future inventory needs.
  • Implement effective inventory control methods and procedures.
  • Identify and dispose of obsolete or damaged inventory in accordance with company policies.
  • Prepare detailed reports on inventory operations, stock levels, and adjustments.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and company policies.
  • Work with the logistics team to manage shipping processes and schedules.

Qualifications: 

  • Proven experience as an Inventory Specialist or similar role.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field is a plus.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of supply chain procedures.
