Sanitation Lead MSS/ 1st Shift - Full-time

• Coordinates and oversees the daily workloads of sanitation employees. Works with sanitation supervisor to improve/maintain employee productivity and efficiency. (50%)
• Responsible for documentation and follow-up of plant sanitation schedules. 
• Trains sanitation worker I, II, and III employees on occupational hazards of duties performed. 
• Maintains cleaning schedules, supply usage and quantity logs. 
• Responsible for the instruction/training of chemical use, safety procedures and equipment use.
• Responsible for manufacturing, distributing and consistently maintaining safe and quality food by following good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP, SQF, and regulatory requirements. 
• Aware and accountable for maintaining and documenting preventative controls necessary to ensure food safety and quality. 
• Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to management. 
• Responsible for partnering with others, sharing knowledge, skills and information within assigned team and across functional areas. 
• Responsible for enhancing technical and functional competencies, as well as professional and leadership development.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• College completion or coursework preferred.
• Three plus years' experience in sanitation lead role.
• Experience in a food processing environment with dry sanitation, preferred.
  
• Knowledge of sanitation chemicals required.
• Able to understand and speak English.
• Basic math skills required.
• Must have good manual dexterity and vision.
• Able to use industrial strength cleaners, degreasers, and sanitizers.
• Ability to tear down and re-assemble critical equipment independently.
• Able to train and coach less experienced workers.
• Good decision-making skills required.
• Good interpersonal skills.
