Building-Based Substitute Teachers - Full-time

POSITION TITLE:    Building Substitute Teachers (BBS)- hired through ESS 

REPORTS TO:    Building Principal/ ESS

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: ESS Contractor, assigned to primarily support one school based in the needs of the district, Monday through Friday.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• PDE Teaching Certification/Emergency Certification 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Provide instruction to students
• Communicate with parents about students' progress
• Provides an educational atmosphere consistent with instructional goals
• Plan, develop, write, and implement curriculum and educational programs in accordance with educational/treatment goals and students' abilities
• Manage student behavior to encourage best possible student educational experience
• Evaluate students' academic growth, keep appropriate records and prepare progress reports. 

PRE EMPLOYMENT PAPERWORK REQUIREMENTS:

• PA State Police Clearance (Act 34)
• Child Abuse Clearance (Act 151)
• FBI Fingerprint Clearance (Act 114)
• School Personnel Health Form (Physical and TB test)
• PDE 6004 Form (Act 24)
• Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release Form(s) (Act 168)
