    This is a Substitute Bus Monitor position for the 2025-2026 school year
    Pay is $15.25 an hour.

    Primary Purpose: Ride buses and help driver ensure safe and orderly transportation of students with disabilities.  Qualifications: 
    • High School Diploma
    • Clear and valid Texas Commercial Driver’s License
    • Either or both endorsements preferred, not required:  Passenger (P)  School Bus (S) 

    Special Knowledge/Skills:
    • Must be 18 years of age
    • Ability to pass U.S. Department of Transportation alcohol and drug tests and annual physical exam
    • Ability to complete required bus driver safety training
    • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
    • Ability to manage student behavior
    • Ability to communicate effectively with others
    • Ability to operate safety equipment and adaptive equipment

    Substitute Bus Monitors are not assigned a route or regularly scheduled duties. Will be contacted as needed.
    This classification does not accrue benefits.
