Cashier - Part-time

Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Cashier to join our grocery store team. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to efficiently process transactions while creating a positive shopping experience for customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers warmly and assist them during checkout.

• Scan, weigh, and bag groceries accurately and efficiently.

• Process payments via cash, credit/debit cards, and other payment methods.

• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.

• Address customer questions, provide assistance, and resolve minor concerns.

• Verify age-restricted purchases in accordance with store policies.

• Handle returns, exchanges, and price checks as needed.

• Follow store policies and procedures for cash handling and loss prevention.

• Work collaboratively with other team members and managers to ensure smooth store operations.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Previous cashier or customer service experience is a plus but not required.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Basic math skills and ability to handle transactions accurately.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light to moderate weights.

• Dependable and able to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Positive attitude and willingness to provide excellent customer service.
