Key Responsibilities
- Oversee workstation preparation projects: Track all workstation imaging, configuration, and deployment tasks, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
- Coordinate with internal teams and field technicians to schedule workstation deployments for new hires, refresh cycles, and client projects.
- Execute project-based tasks including racking and cabling network equipment, staging hardware, and performing infrastructure installations.
- Assist with new client onboarding activities such as internal discovery, network assessments, documentation, and initial toolset configuration.
- Deploy servers, firewalls, switches, access points, and other infrastructure at client sites.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers to maintain timelines, deliverables, and client satisfaction.
- Assist with migrations, upgrades, and other infrastructure-related projects.
- Provide occasional Tier 1-2 support during project downtime or as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an MSP or IT services environment strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of workstation imaging, configuration, and deployment processes.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (VLANs, routing, firewall rules) and hardware.
- Familiarity with common RMM and PSA tools (ConnectWise PSA, ConnectWise Automate, NinjaOne, ImmyBot, etc.).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for on-site work.
Bonus Skills
- Experience with scripting (PowerShell, batch) for automation.
- Knowledge of virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud services (Microsoft 365, Azure).
- Customer-facing experience in project delivery or field engineering.
