Instructional Aide - Substitute

Instructional Aide assists in the monitoring and instruction of students; relieving teachers of routine clerical tasks; and assisting students in performing their academic activities. Special Education Instructional Aide may provide one on one supervision of a student.

Resume EdJoin Application Letters of Recommendation Completion of an Associate of Arts Degree; Or 48 units of course work at college level; Or High School Diploma and the successful completion of a comprehensive exam that assesses the ability to meet NCLB requirements. Candidates who do not meet the 48 unit requirements are required to take the Paraprofessional test at San Joaquin County Office of Education. Ed Code 45361.5 requires that all Instructional Assistants demonstrate proficiency in basic reading, writing and mathematical skills.
