Job Description

As a Mining Intern at AstroForge, you’ll work on the conceptual design and simulation of applying our technology to terrestrial mining processes. This is a unique opportunity for someone with a background in traditional mining engineering to apply those principles in a completely new domain.

Basic Qualifications

Currently pursuing a degree in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
Enrollment in an accredited college or university, with a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
Must be a rising senior.
Understanding of mineral processing, extraction, and refining.
Strong analytical and documentation skills.
Must not be otherwise employed for the duration of the internship.
Must be 18 years or older.
Proof of US Citizenship or Permanent Residency.

Responsibilities

Support system design for refining and material processing hardware.
Analyze mining equipment performance and material extraction processes.
Conduct literature reviews and comparative studies on mining techniques in extreme environments. Collaborate with optics, thermal, and mechanical engineers to shape hardware development.

Preferred Skills

Familiarity with mining simulation software or CAD tools.
Interest in space resource utilization or in-situ resource processing.
Experience with high-temperature or vacuum processing is a plus.

Location: Onsite in Seal Beach, CA

Pay Rate: $30.00 per hour

Duration: 10 weeks

ITAR Requirements
