The Aquatic Staff I is responsible for the safety and welfare of guests, in accordance with Franciscan Alliance department policies and procedures. This position monitors members and guests in the pool area, and engages positively with members and communicates effectively to help ensure client satisfaction. The Aquatic Staff I possess excellent decision-making skills and leadership skills, especially during emergencies, accidents, and incidents.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

• Provide lifeguard surveillance and rescue techniques, and assist WSI with tasks, including accident prevention and rendering water safety services, as necessary.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of pool patrons by documenting, observing and enforcing all pool rules and regulations during swim lessons and Family Hours.
• Equipment maintenance and repair.

Qualifications

Preferred High School Diploma/GED

1 year American Red Cross Lifeguard certification Preferred

Lifeguard Certification (LIFEGRD) - American Red Cross
