Long Term Paraprofessional Substitute - 6 weeks

The Verndale School is currently accepting applications for a long-term paraprofessional substitute position (approximately six weeks in duration), with an anticipated start date on or before December 9, 2025.

Position Purpose:
Support students individually or in small groups as directed by the special education teacher or supervisor.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED

• Meet MN Paraprofessional Requirement:

   

  • 2-year associate degree or

  • Passing score on the PARA PRO test

• Strong skills in reading, writing, math, and basic computer use

• Ability to lift 35 lbs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide academic and behavioral support to students

• Prepare materials and assist with instruction using teacher plans

• Support students in a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment

• Implement IEP accommodations and collect progress data

• Supervise and assist during school activities and transitions

• Maintain confidentiality and follow staff direction

• Perform other duties as assigned
