The Laundry Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all laundry processing and production operations at Sun Valley Resort. This role ensures efficient, high-quality linen processing while meeting production goals. The Supervisor trains and supports the team, manages performance, and ensures safe and organized operations. The goal is to consistently meet both quality and quantity standards

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure linen is processed efficiently while maintaining production and quality targets.
  • Coordinate communication with Maintenance, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Hotel leadership.
  • Train and evaluate staff in safety practices, production standards, and equipment use.
  • Provide ongoing verbal and written feedback; coach staff for continuous improvement.
  • Issue and document coaching, discipline, and performance per company policy.
  • Ensure timely and sufficient availability of quality linens for all hotel operations.
  • Provide inventory data to Hotel, and Food & Beverage managers.
  • Monitor chemical and supply inventory and ensure safe container change-outs.
  • Maintain knowledge of linen counts and locations across departments.
  • Keep all laundry work areas clean, safe, and organized.
  • Enforce all company policies regarding safety, conduct, and job performance.
  • Track and record daily production statistics.
  • Perform other assigned tasks and projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to give clear direction and feedback.
  • Effective training and coaching abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills and foresight in production planning.
  • Proficiency in basic math and inventory comparison.
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and take initiative under pressure.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical equipment safety and error handling.
  • Familiarity with wash deck chemicals preferred.
  • Knowledge of Hazard Communication standards and safe work practices.
  • Understanding of laundry production policies and procedures.
  • Bilingual SPA/ENG

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, walking, reaching, and overhead activity for up to 8 hours daily.
  • Repetitive arm, wrist, and hand movements.
  • Occasional climbing, crawling, squatting, and kneeling.
  • Frequent lifting of up to 55 lbs and pushing/pulling wheeled loads up to 400 lbs.
  • Must tolerate high-heat environments (up to 100°F) for extended periods.
