Activity Specialist (Afterschool Program) - Part-time

Position Overview: 

The Activity Specialist will work as part of the P.R.I.M.E. Leaders Afterschool Program. The Activity Specialist will provide social and educational support and supervision of program participants while ensuring a safe and positive environment for school age children during opportunities for recreation, learning, interaction and academic/personal growth. Additionally, the Activity Specialist will lead activities, prepare students to demonstrate newly acquired skills and assist in the organization and supervision of trips.

Position Qualifications:

High School Diploma required, some college or college degree preferred. At least one year of youth development related experience in a school, community center or afterschool program that includes facilitation of classroom activities and classroom management. Must have patience and be able to communicate effectively with children and parents.

Schedule: Monday through Friday from about 2:00pm to 6:00pm
