About the Job:
We are seeking responsible, compassionate, and safety-conscious Paratransit Bus Drivers to provide reliable transportation services for our passengers. The ideal candidate will ensure passengers reach their destinations safely and on time while delivering excellent customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drives one of several different vehicle types in a safe, courteous, and reliable manner throughout the contracted service area within a daily assigned time schedule.
- Transport passengers to and from designated locations based on assigned schedules or routes.
- Provide assistance to passengers entering or exiting the vehicle, including those using mobility aids such as wheelchairs and walkers.
- Properly secure wheelchairs and other mobility devices using provided safety equipment.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections; report any mechanical issues or safety concerns.
- Maintain accurate trip logs and complete required reports and documentation.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures.
- Communicate with dispatchers regarding schedule changes, emergencies, or delays.
- Respond professionally and compassionately to passenger needs and concerns.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid California Class B driver’s license
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English clearly and effectively.
- Must be able to read and understand street signs, route sheets, and maps.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist passengers with boarding and mobility equipment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to serving individuals with disabilities.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule as needed including nights, evenings and weekends.
