Job Purpose:
- The Armed Security Officer at SERVEXO, located in Kings Point, NY, is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the premises and personnel. This role involves maintaining a secure environment by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, responding to incidents, and enforcing security protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
- Patrol designated areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure the security of doors, windows, and gates.
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of premises.
- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances, providing assistance to emergency services as needed.
- Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
- Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas.
- Escort or drive motor vehicles to transport individuals to specified locations or to provide personal protection.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients, employees, and visitors, ensuring a positive and professional experience.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency response teams when necessary.
- Maintain a high level of vigilance and readiness to respond to any security threats or breaches.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and security.

Job Type: Full time, part-time

Hourly rate: $22.61

H&W rate: 4.93

Qualifications

Required Education/Certification/License:

• High school diploma or equivalent 
• Valid SPO Armed License
• CPR Certification 
• Baton Certification
• Certificate of Firearms training
• Valid Driver’s License
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must be at least 21 years of age

Required Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a security or law enforcement role.
- Previous experience working as an armed security officer is preferred.
- Familiarity with security protocols and emergency procedures.

- Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in using security equipment and technology.

- Must have a valid state-issued armed security license.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position, including standing for extended periods and patrolling designated areas.
