ACE - Community Education Preschool Instructional Assistant PT

I. General Description:

Assists in providing a well organized and smooth functioning preschool program.

II. Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must possess a valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance card
• Certification in CPR and First Aid (preferred)

III. Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assists in daily operation of the program to meet licensing, fire, and sanitation requirements.
2. Assists in planning lessons and activities to meet State and National Standards.
3. Prepares materials (i.e. copying) for classroom activities.
4. Assists in maintaining program discipline as directed.
5. Assists with set up and clean up of programs and activities
6. Assists the instructor in working with students individually or in small groups to reinforce material and skills as directed.
7. Attends parent conferences as requested.
8. Participates in-service training as directed.
9. Takes appropriate precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities according to District Policy.
10. Models appropriate adult behavior to students.
11. Models appropriate dress, grooming, and cleanliness.
12. Communicates with students, parents, staff and administration.
13. Follows administrative regulations of the school and the district.
14. Maintains accurate, complete and correct records required by law as directed.
15. Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Reports to: Community Education Director and Assigned Preschool Teacher

Terms of Employment: 10 months, 40 hours/week.

Salary Range: $15.13-$17.76
