Processing Production Worker - Full-time

Position Description

Pay Rate: $18.00/hour

This position works in a production area processing different species of shellfish. The schedule is Monday – Friday with a start time varying from 5-7am.  Requires working with live, raw and/or cooked products.  Usually works five days a week; overtime may be required based on production needs.  Adheres to all safety requirements including PPP(Personal Protective Equipment), preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions maintain a clean and safe work environment.   

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY  

• Adhere to company production standards and guidelines  

• Packaging and getting products ready for shipment 

• Ensure product getting packed is up to company standards  

• Report any safety and company policy violations to the manager  

• Report equipment in need of repairs to the manager  

• Maintains a positive and cohesive work environment  

• Compliance to safety and regulatory concerns  

• May be required to do other tasks as needed

• Regular, reliable, predictable attendance  

Physical Demands

• The employee may be required to stoop, bend, kneel, twist, and squat   

• The vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus  

• Must be able to speak and hear well enough to communicate with co-workers, supervisors and managers  

• Must be able to use hands for repetitive simple grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation  

• Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
