Commercial Carpenter - Full-time

Cedar Park Group is hiring an experienced Commercial Carpenter with at least 5 years of experience in commercial construction. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in selective demolition, metal framing, drywall, and installation of commercial doors and hardware. This position requires strong layout skills, the ability to interpret drawings, and leadership on-site.

Position Overview:

As a Commercial Carpenter, you’ll perform various carpentry and finishing tasks on commercial projects. You will handle select demolition, layout, framing, drywall, and installation of doors, frames, and hardware while maintaining quality and safety standards. The role requires collaboration with other trades and occasional coordination with subcontractors.

Responsibilities:

• Perform select demolition of commercial-grade doors, frames, masonry walls, gypsum board assemblies, and existing concrete pads.

• Complete small concrete slab infills and patching as needed.

• Execute accurate wall layouts based on construction drawings.

• Install light gauge metal framing for ceilings and walls to accommodate new doors and partitions.

• Perform drywall installation and finishing to a paint-ready level.

• Install commercial hollow metal frames, doors, and hardware in mechanical and related rooms.

• Read and interpret construction drawings and documents with precision.

• Take initiative and lead on-site activities when necessary.

• Assist with coordination of miscellaneous subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to project timelines.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of commercial carpentry experience.

• Proven ability to perform framing, drywall, and door/hardware installation.

• Strong knowledge of construction drawings and field layout.

• OSHA 10 Certification preferred.

• Ability to work independently and take the lead when required.

• Must be safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and reliable.
