Integrated Healthcare Services is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in Espanola, New Mexico.

Job Title: PACU RN
Location: Floating between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles is required.
Job Summary: Utilizes the nursing process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during a shift. Ensures safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care of patients. Provides direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting individual patient needs, actions taken, and patient responses. Coordinates patient care through collaboration with the patient/family and healthcare team. Initiates, utilizes, and documents appropriate protocols and standards of care. Administers medication and treatments as prescribed by physician or standard protocols and documents according to policy. Identifies and meets patient and family learning and discharge needs on admission and throughout the episode of care. Assumes responsibility for the clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel. Completes patient population/age-specific/procedure and protocol education and competency testing per unit standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Must be a team player, flexible, and accustomed to fast-paced environment.
- At least one 13-week previous travel assignment.
- Two (2) years current experience required in specialty.
- One of the following degrees: Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN).
- State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License.
- BLS certification completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross.
- ACLS certification through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross.
- PALS certification completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross.
- Traveler must pass the BCA (basic cardiac arrhythmias) testing during the first week of assignment. Travelers that do not pass the BCA test will be dismissed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- EPIC experience; can train on-site.
