CT Technologist

Job Summary
\n Following established protocols and under the medical supervision of certified radiologists, CT technologists produce computerized tomography scanner radiographs of designated anatomical areas as ordered or directed by physicians to interpret and diagnose patient diseases or injuries. They assist radiologists during procedures, supervise student Radiologic Technologists, and maintain good customer relations.

Required Qualifications
\n

\n
• High school diploma or GED.
\n
• Registered in Radiologic Technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or permanent certification in Radiography from SCRQSA.
\n
• Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card.
\n

Preferred Qualifications
\n  

\n

\n
• Graduate of an accredited school of Allied Health Professionals.
\n
• Completion of an accredited Computed Tomography Program.
\n
• One year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
\n
• ARRT registered in CT.
\n

\n

Additional Information

• Knowledge of OSHA, DHEC, FDA, and TJC standards and regulations.
\n
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
\n
• Ability to perform and teach CT exams to produce satisfactory diagnostic images.
\n
• Exposure to blood, body fluids, radiation, and other healthcare environment risks.
\n
• May require call duty and work on weekends or holidays.
