Assembler

We are looking for a skilled Assembler to connect parts into more complex components. You will ensure all parts fit correctly and are suitable for the final product. You will use your hands, tools, or machines to do the job with greater precision.

You must have good technical knowledge and possess great manual dexterity. Ability to read instructions represented in manuals, drawings, schematics etc. and follow them with precision is extremely important.

The goal is to produce complex outputs by putting together smaller components.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Must be able to measure and make cuts accurately
2. Obtains and transfers stock to working area, manually or with the appropriate equipment.
3. Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
4. Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
5. Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
6. Examines assembled parts for accuracy in dimensions, color, visual inspections for cosmetic and surface defects to meet work order or drawing specifications.
7. Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
8. Must follow all applicable safety procedures to avoid injuries including but not limited to request for help from co-workers with loads exceeding 40 pounds, proper handling of raw materials, and follow all operational instructions when operating or using tools and equipment.
9. Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling maintenance for repairs.
10. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations according to the 5'S practices
11. Informs manager of supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies.
12. Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
13. Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
14. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
15. Other duties may be assigned by Manager or Supervisor.
