Job Description
JOB TITLE: PASS County Coordinator
Reports to: Director of Child Nutrition
Salary: $25.00 per hour while performing the duties described herein, with total compensation not to exceed $5,200 during the fiscal year.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Work with Director with program oversight on volunteer recruitment drives, strategies. All flyers, newspaper articles, social media posts must be cleared with Director with program oversight.
2. Work with county lead social worker on volunteer training materials and trainings. All volunteers MUST participate in a 2-hour training session prior to working with a student.
3. Meet with the SAT coordinators at each school to ensure PASS referrals are processed in the best interest of the child and his/her education. Use volunteer profile sheets to best pair student’s with volunteers.
4. Work with school principals to determine an open/public area where PASS volunteers can work with students, where PASS materials will be located and sign-in out procedures for the school.
5. Have volunteer badges and sign-in out folder available at the front desk of each school.
6. Coordinate times with the PASS student’s teacher when the best time to pull student’s out for mentorship.
9. Develop plan for notifying student’s that their volunteer is unable to make their appointment. Monitor number of times volunteers miss their sessions, PASS is a commitment.
10. Submit requisitions to Director with program oversight of any materials needed for the program.
11. Keep records of program; training materials/logs, student referrals, volunteer profiles.
12. Be liaison with teachers to ensure that the student is making progress/benefiting from the program. If not make adjustments.
13. Be available (by phone if necessary) to talk to volunteers who might be having questions or problems.
14. Be the contact person for all aspects of the program, meet with Director with program oversight bi-monthly to ensure program integrity.
15. Arrange for monthly/quarterly meeting with volunteers for additional training, student trends, etc.
