Position Summary
The Shipping/Inventory Clerk plays a key role in ensuring ADDIUM’s customers receive their products accurately, on time, and in excellent condition. This role is responsible for 70% shipping tasks and 30% inventory support, including processing and packaging customer orders, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting daily operational workflows.
This position requires strong attention to detail, a high level of organization, and a commitment to delivering a superior customer experience. The Shipping/Inventory Clerk directly contributes to ADDIUM’s goal of achieving 100% on-time delivery and maintaining accurate inventory records.
Key Responsibilities
Shipping (70%)
Building/Assembling Kits
- Responsible for building and assembling kits accurately for shipping purposes, ensuring all required components are included, properly prepared, and meet quality standards.
Order Fulfillment
- Responsible for building and assembling kits for shipment, reviewing and verifying orders against picklists, pulling and packaging consumable orders, performing quality checks, executing accurate fulfillment transactions, maintaining proper documentation, and keeping the work area clean and organized to support efficient order processing.
On-Time Delivery (OTD) Execution
- Ensures all shipments—including kit-based orders—are prioritized and processed according to due dates and schedules, prepares overdue and due orders to meet daily targets, and communicates effectively with the Shipping Manager and team to maintain delivery commitments.
Packaging & Quality
- Packages completed kits and individual products securely for domestic and international shipments, optimizes packaging layouts to reduce wasted space and shipping costs, ensures all packages are sealed and labeled to company standards, and handles products carefully to maintain quality and deliver a professional unboxing experience.
Inventory Support (30%)
- Responsible for building and assembling kits accurately for inventory purposes, ensuring all required components are included, properly prepared, and meet quality standards.
- Assist in cycle counts and routine inventory audits to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Help monitor and replenish shipping supplies and consumables.
- Support inventory adjustments, material transfers, and documentation updates within the ERP or inventory system.
- Maintain organization and clean storage of inventory items to support efficient material flow.
- Report inventory discrepancies or damaged materials promptly to the Inventory Lead or Supervisor.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Basic computer proficiency; familiarity with ERP (NetSuite) preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Knowledge of domestic and international shipping procedures preferred.
- Ability to follow instructions, prioritize workloads, and work independently when necessary.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in shipping, warehousing, logistics, or related role preferred.
- Experience in packaging and order fulfillment in a manufacturing or distribution environment desirable.
- Familiarity with shipping documentation and carrier systems (UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.) preferred.
