American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Unit night shift position in Hawaii, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active HI RN license.
Details\n- \n
- Hospital Medical Unit setting with 77 beds \n
- Adult Med/Surg patient population \n
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 on days and evenings, and 1:8 on nights \n
- Procedures and equipment include wound vac management and chest tube care \n
- Meditech EMR and Pyxis medication dispensing system in use \n
- Night shift position with variable shift lengths and days — flexibility is required \n
- Scheduled for 36 hours per week after the first full week of orientation \n
- Floating may be required to the Laulima Unit and Cardiovascular Unit \n

- Active Hawaii (HI) RN license required by start of assignment — candidates without one must apply upon acceptance of offer \n
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required \n
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required \n
- Experience with Meditech EMR preferred \n
- Proof of flu vaccination or a facility-approved medical/religious exemption required prior to contract start \n

- All travelers must report to Employee Health 48–72 hours prior to the start of the assignment; plan to arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before a Monday start date to attend a Friday morning Employee Health appointment \n
- Flu vaccination may be administered during the Employee Health clearance appointment if needed \n
- Orientation is provided for each unit at the start of the assignment \n
- Professional nursing attire required \n
