Job Description
Facilities Manager Duties and Responsibilities:
· Planning building maintenance and operational programs
· Managing all vendor contracts
· Ensuring the efficiency of all building systems
· Coordinating site safety programs
· Preparing operating reports and budgets
· Maintaining a safe work environment for all employees
· Ensuring all processes and compliance programs are met
· Forecasts, allocates, and oversees the financial and physical resources of the facilities
· Coordinating with department heads and building contractors
· Ensuring all utility systems are inspected and in accordance with regulations
· Negotiating bids and contracts for third party workers
· Coordinating building safety and maintenance services
· Managing and supervising all facilities personnel
· Overseeing all building and pool functions
· Coordinating all maintenance issues and schedules
· Preparing and filing reports with government and regulatory authorities including environmental permitting
· Oversee all operations of potable water plant
Facilities Manager Requirements and Qualifications
· Follows all company policies and procedures
· Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
· Strong project management skills
· Goal-oriented, organized team player
· Encouraging to team and staff; able to mentor and lead
· Self-motivated and self-directed
· Experienced at compiling and following strict budgets
· Accurate and precise attention to detail
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· High school diploma
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, facilities management, business management or related field preferred. Certification in Facilities Management a plus.
· Certification in Pool Operations required in six months from hire date.
· Knowledge of OSHA responsibilities and regulations
· Previous experience in maintenance supervision or related field
· The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and be a problem-solver
· Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 75 pounds
· Ability to work flexible hours and be on call to respond to emergencies
· Computer skills; Microsoft office and various application software
· Strict adherence to company philosophy/mission statement/sales goals
· Must pass a drug screen and a criminal background check
