American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Med/Surg travel position in Roswell, NM, requiring at least 1 year of Med/Surg experience and an active NM or Compact RN license.
Details- 13-week contract on a Med/Surg unit (Floor 1) in a hospital setting
- 36-bed unit serving a general medical/surgical patient population, including some post-op orthopedic and general surgery cases
- Patient ratio is 1:6, occasionally 1:7
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required as needed (rarely); may float to the ICU to cover step-down or Med/Surg overflow patients
- No on-call requirements
- EMR: Cerner; Mindray Telemetry System in use
- Active NM or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience required
- No certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the contract start date
- Valid driver's license required for consideration
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position
- Fingerprinting is required for all travelers working in New Mexico; this process can take several weeks
- Scrub color: Royal Blue
- RTO is limited to less than 1 week for the duration of the contract
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position
- Block scheduling and 48-hour shift arrangements may be accommodated upon request
