Practice Setting and Clinical Scope
This role is based in a respected regional medical center in Colorado Springs and involves primarily outpatient care with the opportunity for hospital privileges at a Level I trauma center. The practice is well-supported by midlevel providers and ancillary services such as pelvic physical therapy, cancer nutrition counseling, and full-spectrum ancillary support. Physicians typically see 15-22 patients per day, allowing for personalized and comprehensive patient care.
Schedule and Assignment Details
The position offers a predictable Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with call responsibilities shared on a 1:2 basis. Weekend duties are limited to on-call weekends, with hospitalists handling admissions, ensuring a balanced work-life schedule. The role is full-time and permanent, offering stability and the opportunity to grow within the organization.
Support and Work Environment
You will join a supportive and collaborative environment with access to a multidisciplinary team dedicated to patient care excellence. The team includes a Nurse Practitioner, experienced nurses, and contract physicians, all working cohesively to enhance patient outcomes. The practice values teaching and offers opportunities to interact with medical students, although participation in teaching is optional.
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN and Gynecological Oncology (0-5 years post-residency).
- Fellowship-trained in Gynecological Oncology, completed prior to starting.
- Active Colorado medical license or willingness to obtain.
- DEA certification (must be obtained prior to start).
- Commitment to permanent placement; not accepting locum tenens or visa candidates.
