Job Description
CareNow Urgent Care, one of the nation’s leading providers of outpatient urgent care services and part of the HCA Healthcare network, is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Urgent Care Physician to join their expanding team across the Austin, TX market. With 25+ clinic locations throughout the region, CareNow offers flexible scheduling, strong clinical support, and a patient-focused environment that allows providers to practice high-quality medicine with balance and stability.
About the OpportunityThis role offers the chance to practice broad-scope urgent care medicine in a modern, well-supported clinical setting. CareNow clinics are equipped with onsite imaging, labs, and a reliable support staff — enabling efficient, high-quality, patient-centered care.
Physicians are assigned to clinic locations based on proximity to their home and market needs, providing convenience, reduced commute time, and consistency.
Position HighlightsServe in a well-established urgent care network within the Austin metro
Flexible scheduling designed to support work-life balance
Modern clinics with on-site diagnostics (X-ray, lab, procedures)
Supportive, physician-driven culture focused on quality outcomes
Opportunity to care for a diverse patient population ranging from pediatrics (3 months+) to adults
Evaluate and treat patients with a broad spectrum of urgent care needs, including minor injuries, acute illnesses, infections, and non-emergent medical concerns
Perform common urgent care procedures, including:
Simple laceration repair
Incision and drainage of abscesses
Splinting and basic orthopedic care
Medication management for acute conditions
Interpret basic imaging and diagnostic tests
Provide patient education, counseling, and follow-up recommendations
Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards
Work collaboratively with nurses, medical assistants, and administrative staff for smooth clinic operations
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Board Certified / Board Eligible in:
Family Medicine
Emergency Medicine
Med/Peds
Active Texas medical license and DEA (or ability to obtain prior to start)
Comfortable seeing patients 3 months and older
Proficient in urgent care procedures
Strong communication skills and a commitment to patient-centered, efficient care
Competitive hourly compensation with quarterly performance bonuses
$20,000 sign-on bonus
