Physician Urgent Care - Competitive Salary

CareNow Urgent Care, one of the nation’s leading providers of outpatient urgent care services and part of the HCA Healthcare network, is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Urgent Care Physician to join their expanding team across the Austin, TX market. With 25+ clinic locations throughout the region, CareNow offers flexible scheduling, strong clinical support, and a patient-focused environment that allows providers to practice high-quality medicine with balance and stability.

This role offers the chance to practice broad-scope urgent care medicine in a modern, well-supported clinical setting. CareNow clinics are equipped with onsite imaging, labs, and a reliable support staff — enabling efficient, high-quality, patient-centered care.

Physicians are assigned to clinic locations based on proximity to their home and market needs, providing convenience, reduced commute time, and consistency.

• Serve in a well-established urgent care network within the Austin metro

• Flexible scheduling designed to support work-life balance

• Modern clinics with on-site diagnostics (X-ray, lab, procedures)

• Opportunity to care for a diverse patient population ranging from pediatrics (3 months+) to adults

• Evaluate and treat patients with a broad spectrum of urgent care needs, including minor injuries, acute illnesses, infections, and non-emergent medical concerns

• Perform common urgent care procedures, including:

  • Simple laceration repair

  • Incision and drainage of abscesses

  • Splinting and basic orthopedic care

  • Medication management for acute conditions

• Interpret basic imaging and diagnostic tests

• Provide patient education, counseling, and follow-up recommendations

• Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards

• Work collaboratively with nurses, medical assistants, and administrative staff for smooth clinic operations

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school

• Board Certified / Board Eligible in:

  • Family Medicine

  • Emergency Medicine

  • Med/Peds

• Active Texas medical license and DEA (or ability to obtain prior to start)

• Comfortable seeing patients 3 months and older

• Proficient in urgent care procedures

• Strong communication skills and a commitment to patient-centered, efficient care
