  • Traveler will be responsible for self-studying telemetry strips upon acceptance and a basic dysrhythmia test out will be given first week of assignment. This must be passed in order to work in CCU.
  • \n
  • Delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation in coordination with other health team members.
  • \n
  • Effectively interacts with the patient, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining high standards of professional nursing.
  • \n
  • Provides high quality care to the following patient populations: Adult cardiac/ telemetry, Stroke, Vascular intervention, Hemodynamic monitoring.
  • \n
  • EPIC EMR experience within the last 12 months in a like unit required.
  • \n
  • While the traveler will not be part of a regular call rotation, they may occasionally be placed on call during periods of low census. If called in, the traveler is expected to be able to respond and arrive on-site within one hour.

  • BLS certification required (AHA or ARC acceptable).
  • \n
  • ACLS certification required.
  • \n
  • NIHSS certification required (American Heart Association or Apex Innovations ONLY).
  • \n
  • License/Certificate Verification required with primary source verification of professional license within 30 days of start, updated upon expiration (for RNs use BON & NURSYS).
  • \n
  • GRH Skills Checklist to be completed within 12 months - does not expire.
  • \n
  • COVID-19 Vaccine (declination accepted).
  • \n
  • MMR: 2 vaccines or positive titer; if low or equivocal, 1 booster or declination accepted.
  • \n
  • Fit Test completed prior to start with acceptable masks specified.
  • \n
  • Hepatitis B: 2 vaccines or positive titer; if low or equivocal, 1 booster or declination accepted.
  • \n
  • TB Test: proof of negative test completed in the past year or documentation if history of positive test.
  • \n
  • Health Statement: physician statement within the last 12 months.
  • \n
  • Driver's License/State ID must be current and valid during assignment.
  • \n
  • GRH Background Check within 30 days of start including SS trace and county search for last 7 years.
  • \n
  • GRH Iowa Adult and Child Abuse state requirement.
  • \n
  • GRH Education Verification through 3rd party.
  • \n
  • GRH EPLS/GSA/SAM HHS/OIG ran within 30 days of start.
  • \n
  • 2 Professional References required, 1 must be from Supervisor.
  • \n
  • GRH Drug Screen within 30 days of start - 9 panel excluding THC.
  • \n
  • GRH SING ran within 30 days of start.
  • \n
  • GRH Resume or Profile required.
  • \n
  • GRH I9 Attestation (completed I-9 on agency letterhead).
  • \n
  • Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer; if low or equivocal, 1 booster or declination accepted.
  • \n
  • Tdap valid for 10 years from administered date; declinations accepted.
  • \n
  • GRH NSO and OFAC ran within 30 days of start.
  • \n
  • GRH Evergreen Link must be completed within 48 hours of offer acceptance.

  • GRH OSHA Questionnaire to be completed by candidate.

  • Pre-Orientation CBL Acknowledgement Form to be uploaded.

  • Epic Registration Acknowledgement Form to be signed and uploaded after registration.

    \n Schedule Information\n
    \n
  • Estimated work week 36 hours with possibility of overtime.
  • \n
  • Shift: 19:00 - 07:30 (Nights).
  • \n
  • Every other weekend rotation required.
  • \n
  • Every other holiday required.

  • Unit: ICU-CCU (Critical Care/Intensive Care Unit - Coronary Care Unit).
