American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Tele position at an acute care hospital in Orangeburg, SC, requiring 2 years of experience and an active SC or compact RN license.
Details\n- \n
- 13-week contract at a 286-bed acute care hospital \n
- Med/Surg Telemetry unit \n
- Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM \n
- Patient ratio of 1:5–6 \n
- Every other weekend required \n
- No on-call required \n
- Floating within scope to like units or sister facilities may be required \n
- Charts in Epic \n

- Active SC RN license or compact license; candidates with a pending SC license may be considered but must have the license active prior to start \n
- Current AHA certifications: BLS (required), ACLS (required), NIH Stroke Scale (preferred) \n
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required \n
- Telemetry competency required \n
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred \n
- Community hospital experience preferred \n
- SSN and Driver's License required for consideration \n
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration \n

- Level III Trauma facility \n
- Orientation modules are completed prior to the start of the assignment \n
- Royal blue scrubs required \n
- Free parking on-site \n
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position \n
- Candidates who have been permanent staff or PRN at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible as a traveler \n
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration; approval is based on facility needs \n
- Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized, and local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis \n
- During hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September \n
