Opportunity Highlights
- Position: Inpatient Psychiatrist
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, day shifts
- No weekend call; one weekend per month phone on-call

Practice Setting and Clinical Scope
Become an integral part of a community-based hospital known for its commitment to behavioral health. The facility features 99 beds, ensuring a robust and supportive environment for comprehensive patient care. The clinical scope requires expertise in handling involuntary commitments and pharmacotherapy, providing a well-rounded psychiatric practice experience. The facility utilizes Wellsky EMR, facilitating efficient and effective patient management.
Schedule and Assignment Details
This role offers a predictable work-life balance with a Monday to Friday day shift schedule. While the main duties do not require weekend coverage, there is a minimal requirement of one weekend per month for phone on-call support. This structure ensures a focused and undisturbed work environment during the week, allowing you to dedicate your time and expertise to patient care.
Support and Work Environment
Work alongside a highly skilled and collaborative team, including two fellow psychiatrists and three Advanced Practice Providers, with additional support from a per diem pool. This multidisciplinary approach fosters a supportive and dynamic workplace, promoting both personal and professional development. The team is committed to maintaining a high standard of care, ensuring that every patient receives comprehensive and empathetic treatment.
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry (within 0-5 years of residency)
- Delaware medical license or willingness to obtain one
- Current DEA certification or ability to obtain prior to start
- BLS certification or willingness to obtain
- Familiarity with involuntary commitments and pharmacotherapy
