American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Surgical ICU (SICU) travel assignment in Ohio, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and an active OH or compact RN license.
Details- Night shift position working 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
- Schedule includes every Friday night, every Saturday night, and one additional night per week
- 36 hours per week
- Surgical ICU (SICU) unit within an academic medical center
- Patient population includes surgical, trauma, burn, and transplant ICU cases
- EMR: Epic (experience required)
- Medication systems: Pyxis, Accudose, and Omnicell
- Floating to other units is required
- On-call responsibilities are required
- Active OH or compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
- Surgical ICU, Trauma ICU, Burn ICU, or Transplant ICU experience preferred
- 2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or formal leadership role (Supervisor); a Charge RN is acceptable as the second reference; no coworker references accepted
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted
- Former employees of the facility are eligible after a 6-month separation period
- Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration and is limited to 7 days or fewer for the contract period
- Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be completed promptly after accepting an assignment — candidates outside Ohio will need to travel to an in-state fingerprinting location or complete a mailed fingerprinting packet as soon as possible
- Parking options are available for agency staff and can be purchased through CampusParc; options range from a convenient on-site garage permit to more affordable off-site lots with shuttle service to the medical center
