PCU  nurses needed for July start dates - Excellent pay - 36 hours a week

 

Bowling Green, Kentucky - ASAP starts 

• Pay is: $$2362 per week 

   

• Must have BLS, ACLS and active KY or compact License.
  
  13-week travel contract, 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 36 hours/week guaranteed.
   
• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) role—intermediate care for patients needing more monitoring than Med/Surg but less than ICU.
• Required certifications: BLS, PCU competency exam.
• Must be able to conduct comprehensive assessments for moderate to high acuity patients, including continuous monitoring of vital signs, labs, and cardiac rhythms.
• Administer IV medications, pain management, blood products, and manage patients with telemetry and arterial lines.
• Provide post-surgical care for cardiovascular, neurological, and orthopedic patients; manage complex conditions like heart failure, respiratory distress, and diabetes.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans; participate in daily rounds.
• Accurately document all interventions, assessments, and outcomes in electronic health records (EHR).
• Respond quickly to emergencies, including code blue situations, and perform advanced life support as needed.
• Educate patients and families about recovery, treatment plans, medications, and lifestyle changes to prevent readmissions.
