About the Opportunity
Brattleboro Memorial Hospital is seeking a full-time, BC/BE OB/GYN Physician to join its hospital-owned Four Seasons OB/GYN practice — the only OB/GYN practice in the Brattleboro area. This is a rare opportunity to join a long-standing, stable practice with very low physician and staff turnover, offering full-spectrum women's health care in a collaborative, community-based environment.
You will join a team of experienced physicians, certified nurse midwives (CNMs), nurse practitioners, nurses, and medical assistants in a practice where physicians are trusted, respected, and actively involved in decision-making — with minimal administrative burden and strong hospital support.
Position Highlights
$280K–$360K salary range plus additional call compensation for extra call coverage
Flexible 3–4 day work week — excellent quality of life
1-in-4 home call rotation as backup to midwives — manageable and shared

~3 dedicated OR days per month for surgical volume

Schedule & Coverage
Clinic: 3–4 days per week, primarily daytime hours, approximately 12–14 patients/day
Surgery: Average 3 dedicated OR days per month
On-Call: Home call, 1-in-4 rotation as physician backup for midwife-led obstetric care
Weekends: Shared home call as part of 1-in-4 rotation
Practice Setting: Outpatient clinic + surgical + inpatient OB
Key Responsibilities
Provide full-spectrum obstetrics and gynecology care to a diverse community patient population
Manage gynecologic consults from surrounding primary care providers and in-house midwives
Perform office-based gynecologic procedures
Perform minimally invasive and advanced laparoscopic surgeries in modern OR suites
Provide physician backup for midwife-led obstetric care, including uncomplicated deliveries
Support a family-focused birth center with VBAC, water birth, nitrous oxide, and epidural services
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a respectful, team-oriented clinical environment
Practice evidence-based OB/GYN care with clinical autonomy
Engage in quality improvement and long-term career development within the practice

Qualifications & Requirements
MD or DO degree — required
Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in OB/GYN — required (if Board Eligible, include graduation date)
Completion of an ACGME-accredited OB/GYN Residency in the US or Canada — required
Active Vermont Medical License or willingness to obtain prior to start — required
Clean malpractice history — required
Most recent NPDB Self-Query Report within 30 days — required at presentation, no exemptions
