The Opportunity:
Were seeking a local skilled CAD Engineer to bring innovative fixture designs to life using Microvellum (AutoCAD-based). Reporting to the Project Manager, youll collaborate with clients, architects, and production teams to create detailed 2D and 3D models, ensuring every piece meets exacting standards. What Youll Do:
- Design and maintain accurate 2D/3D CAD models and technical drawings with Microvellum and AutoCAD.
- Produce CNC-ready part drawings and assemblies for millwork fixture production.
- Translate architectural plans into manufacturing-ready designs for retail and commercial projects.
- Work closely with clients and internal teams to refine designs and solve technical challenges.
- Optimize designs for efficiency, material use, and performance.
- Research specialty materials and manage long-lead items to keep projects on track.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
What You Bring:
- Proficiency in Microvellum and AutoCAD (experience with CNC programming a plus).
- Strong ability to interpret architectural blueprints and create precise technical drawings.
- Problem-solving skills with a knack for adapting to changing project needs.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Commitment to safety and attention to detail.
- 2 years of CAD experience in manufacturing, millwork, or related field.
- *Preferred: Associates/Bachelors degree in engineering, design, or related discipline.
