Swoon's largest industrial and manufacturing client is actively seeking an experienced Buyer responsible for procuring machinery, equipment, tools, parts, supplies, and services essential to the ongoing operations of the organization.

Rate Range: $33 - $38/hr

Contract Duration: 12 months w/potential extension

Location: ONSITE, Monday - Friday in Mossville, IL office

Responsibilities:

• Analyze market conditions, supplier capabilities, and delivery systems to assess current and future material availability.
• Develop, implement, and maintain purchasing and contract management policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Review and approve purchase orders, supplier contracts, and claims to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Lead and coordinate the activities of personnel involved in purchasing, distributing, and managing materials, equipment, and supplies.
• Identify, evaluate, and qualify vendors; conduct supplier interviews to determine product availability, pricing, and terms of sale.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field (required).
• Minimum of 10 years of related finance or purchasing experience (required).
• Professional certification preferred: CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management), CPPM (Certified Professional Purchasing Manager), CPP (Certified Purchasing Professional).
• Expert-level ability to analyze financial data, pricing structures, and technical proposals.
