Maintenance Technician - Full-time

The primary purpose of Maintenance Technician II includes inspecting and maintaining the general upkeep of buildings and equipment. Performing preventive maintenance on Heinzerling vehicles, and performing minor repairs within the facilities and on grounds.

Job duties include, but are not limited to: 

• Performs maintenance on major facility operating systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Performs preventative and regular maintenance on facility equipment. 
• Inspects operating machines and equipment, including dietary and housekeeping, to determine malfunction and repairs. 
• Repairs facility equipment as requested or needed. 
• Executing painting jobs. 
• Participates in fire drill and evacuation procedures and training. 
• Assists in set-up and clean-up for organizational events and activities.
• Assists with snow removal or mowing as requested. 
• Fulfills on-call responsibilities and follows safety precautions. 

Requirements: 

• Must be able to lift/carry up to 100 pounds regularly 
• Must be able to regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel; stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk and hear. 
• Must be able to stay awake for the entire shift.  
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• 3 years related job experience or training.
• Must be 21 years of age or older. 
• Must have valid Ohio driver’s license with less than 5 points, obtain an Ohio driver’s abstract, provide valid auto insurance. 
• Must be able to add, subtract, divide and multiple in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

 Basic computer knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and email.  

** Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen. **

Pay Rate and Hours: 

$21.25 / hour

7:30am – 4:00pm

Monday – Friday with some on-call responsibilities
