Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2+ years of L&D/OB/Mother-Baby experience and Michigan licensure.

Details\n

\n
• Work in a 15-bed LDRP unit with 3 triage bays and 2 operating rooms
\n
• Provide antepartum, labor and delivery, OR circulating, scrub nursing, newborn care at delivery, and couplet care
\n
• Perform lab draws and newborn hearing screens
\n
• Follow AWHONN staffing ratio guidelines
\n
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30)
\n
• Assignment length up to 26 weeks
\n
• Required to work every other weekend
\n
• Float to all areas of LDRP and may serve as a sitter for the house
\n
• May float to a facility 27 miles away when census allows
\n
• No on-call requirements
\n
• Uses Epic EMR
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active Michigan RN license required
\n
• Current certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NRP, and either AWHONN Intermediate or NCC C-EFM
\n
• AWHONN Advanced certification preferred
\n
• Minimum 2 years of experience in OB, Mother/Baby, and L&D required
\n
• Required skills: circulating and FHM triage
\n
• Scrub nursing skills preferred
\n
• Proof of flu vaccination required for consideration
\n

Additional Information\n

\n
• Will be trained to perform newborn hearing screens using the ALGO 5 machine
\n
• Scrubs provided
\n
• Holiday coverage required; RTO during holidays must remain flexible to accommodate staffing needs
\n
• No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the contract
\n
• RTO limited to no more than 10 days
\n
• Travelers are given priority for floating assignments
\n
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate with no radius restrictions
\n
• Previous Bronson travelers may return after 6 months; previous permanent staff may return after 1 year
\n
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position
\n
