Qualifications:

Here's what you'll need

  • Associate's degree in Computer-Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) or related field
  • 2–5 years of professional experience in industrial drafting and design
  • Basic experience or familiarity with preparing design drawings across all project phases, from schematic design through construction documentation, including associated project deliverables.
  • Experience with semiconductor tool installation
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication skills for client meetings and team collaboration
  • Ability to manage priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multidisciplinary teams.

Ideally, you'll also have

  • Bachelor's degree in CADD or related field
  • Revit experience
  • Experience with innovative or complex design projects
  • Prior experience coordinating with consultants and multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong presentation and graphic skills
  • Experience on small and large teams
  • Experience with project scoping and development
  • Experience with NavisWorks and/or Revit BIM software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability for forward thinking, eagerness to learn best practices, and to contribute with innovative ideas
  • Displayed ability to learn quickly and a drive to broaden knowledge base
  • Passion for buildings and construction

Other Requirements:

Location:

  • This is an on-site position requiring work to be performed on the client site in Manassas, VA.
  • Candidate must be willing to commute to the site Monday-Friday during normal business hours—nominally 8:00 am to 5:00 pm—with some flexibility based on the ability of the site to support and employee preference.

Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-Day Tasks and Routines
  • Create layout designs in AutoCAD for tool installation projects
  • Work directly with the client to ensure machine layouts follow code, building standards, and client standards.
  • Field verify layouts to ensure accuracy of designs
  • Measure and record factory areas for as-building purposes
  • Present designs during review meetings and explain decisions made during design process
